Performance Management and Measurement

Workforce Ready!....Learn More

How can you help your students understand performance management and measurement?

In today’s fast paced environment, it can be commonplace to have very dedicated team members working on things that are not advancing the organization’s purpose.

Have you ever heard the saying “ It’s what’s measured that gets done?"  Effective performance management and measurement is the ability for an organization to create goals and objectives and then measure against them. In today’s fast paced environment, it can be commonplace to have very dedicated team members working on items that are not advancing the organization’s purpose. It can also be commonplace to be measuring outcomes that are counter-productive to an organization’s goals and objectives.

Through effective performance management and quantifiable measurements, core business practices can be created and linked to key performance indicators (KPI’s).  This allows for work to be identified as 1) keep doing 2) stop doing 3) add in which helps reach stated goals and objectives.

Igniting Classroom Thinking!....Teach Today

Let us help you integrate performance management and measurement into your classroom today!

When students are faced with multiple tasks to complete in a day, could a prioritization matrix help them determine where to focus their energy first?  Could each student be responsible for creating individual goals based on classroom objectives?  How will they know if they have reached them?  Could the evaluation of their success be a combination of assessments, their individual feedback on how well they were prepared as well as a peer review on their success and challenges?  When determining classroom objectives are there ways for students to assess how they meet those requirements against their own personal goals?  Outside of performance on assessments and overall grades, what other skills and traits are of value in their development?  How will those be measured and celebrated?
